Named after the sovereign family Pálffy who inhabited the Palais in the 17th century it has seen many famous celebrities come and go. One of them was Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In his childhood days the halls would be filled with his music and it is said that »Figaro« was played here for the very first time to a small selected audience.
The reconstruction after World War II gave the building its characteristic look: old Vienna on the outside, and a mix of classism and twentieth century on the inside. The exclusive rooms on the top floor are suitable for cultural events, receptions, conferences, seminars, weddings, exhibitions & fairs, christmas parties and festive dance events.
